A wellness reading of Magnifica Humanitas
The Agency Manifesto.
AI is not the enemy of humanity. The surrender of human agency is. Ten articles, written to be re-read, on what AI literacy for the body actually means — and what it refuses.

- 01
The anthropological question is the only question.
Every tool that touches your body is quietly answering 'what is a person?'. Most answer 'a stream of data points to be optimised'. That answer is wrong. We start with the right one, and the whole stack changes shape.
- 02
Tools are not neutral.
A scale measures weight, and teaches you what to care about. A feed measures clicks, and decides what counts as a thought. The tool you pick decides what you are allowed to notice.
- 03
Attention is the battleground, not content.
The fight is not over what you watch. It is over whether you have any attention left to direct. The remedy is structured, repeated practice at giving your attention back to something you chose.
- 04
Conscience over recommendation.
No recommendation engine — not ours, not your wearable's, not your clinician's AI scribe — stands between you and a deliberate decision about your own body. Tools draft. Humans decide.
- 05
The body is sacred, not raw material.
Whatever your metaphysics, the body is not a quarry. Not a dataset. Not a training corpus traded for a subscription discount. The starting position for any health tool is: this body is not raw material.
- 06
Data is a common good, not a commodity.
Your health data is generated by you, in your body, on your time. It serves the person it came from first, the community second, the shareholder a distant third. Anything else is extraction with extra steps.
- 07
Small communities, not platforms.
Healing happens in rooms, not in feeds. The cohort is small on purpose. The membership doesn't gamify streaks. The point of being in the room is being in the room — not being measured while you are.
- 08
Truth over engagement.
AI can produce plausible nonsense at a speed no human can match. The counterweight is hierarchy of evidence, named uncertainty, and the willingness to write 'we don't know' on the page.
- 09
Resilience is not productivity.
What makes humans resilient is not throughput. It is the capacity to hold meaning under pressure and to refuse the optimised path when the optimised path would erase us. That compounds in a quiet ledger, not a dashboard.
- 10
Freedom is the capacity to refuse.
A tool you cannot refuse is not a tool — it is a leash. A protocol you cannot opt out of is not care — it is management. The mark of AI literacy worth the name: you can walk away, from the app, from the platform, from us, and still know who you are.
What you do with it.
This is not a petition. It is a ten-line test. Read it through once slowly, then go and change one default in your phone, your wearable, your inbox, or your subscriptions before you close the tab. That is the entire practice.
