Set up Mistral to Draft a Supplement Protocol in 8 Minutes
Use the high-speed Le Chat interface to research and structure a supplement plan from your own notes.

Researching supplements is one task; organizing them into a coherent daily schedule is another. This guide configures Mistral's Le Chat to act as a fast, private drafting assistant that turns scattered notes into a clear protocol.
Before you start
- A Mistral (Le Chat) account
- Your own research notes on supplements (e.g., from Notion, a text file)
- 8 quiet minutes
The steps
- 01
Organize Your Research
Collect your notes on supplements into a single document. For each supplement, list the name, your reason for considering it, dosage notes, and any citations or links to your research. This becomes the source material for the AI.
- 02
Draft Your Initial Prompt
In a text editor, write a clear prompt for Mistral. Start by defining its role: "You are a health-research assistant. Your task is to draft a daily supplement protocol from the research notes I provide. You will not add any new information." This instruction limits the model to your own vetted information, reducing the risk of it inventing facts.
- 03
Structure the Output
Specify the exact output format you need. For example: "Structure the output as a daily schedule (Morning, Midday, Evening). For each supplement, list the name, dose, and a brief note on its purpose based *only* on the provided text. Then, add a second section listing any supplements I noted as 'discontinue' or 'consider later'."
- 04
Paste and Generate the Protocol
Open Le Chat. Paste your role-setting prompt and your organized research notes into the chat window as a single message. Mistral will generate the structured protocol according to your rules. This is the first layer of the 3-Layer Method: turning raw Research into a structured Ledger.
- 05
Review and Refine
Read the generated protocol carefully, checking it against your original notes. If the model missed a detail or formatted something incorrectly, provide corrective feedback like, "Refine the draft: move CoQ10 to the morning slot, as per my notes on fat-soluble absorption with food." The goal is a clean, human-verified document to inform your final plan.
Honest note
Mistral models, like all LLMs, can hallucinate facts and dosages—do not trust any information it adds that was not in your original notes. This setup is for organizing your own research, not for generating net-new medical advice. Always consult a clinician before starting or stopping any supplement.
