Set up InsideTracker for baseline tracking in 10 mins

Connect your wearable and upload historical lab results to establish a unified data baseline.

InsideTracker setup — Set up InsideTracker for baseline tracking in 10 mins

Most people review blood work once a year and immediately forget the numbers. InsideTracker acts as a structured repository for these metrics, combining episodic lab results with continuous wearable data. This setup ensures your historical data informs your daily decisions, rather than gathering dust in a patient portal.

Before you start

  • An active InsideTracker account
  • PDF files of your past two blood panels
  • Your Oura, Garmin, or Apple Health login credentials

The steps

  1. 01

    Upload historical blood panels

Locate the manual upload section in the results dashboard. Upload the PDFs of your past lab results to populate the Ledger layer of your health stack, ensuring the platform extracts markers like ApoB, ferritin, and hsCRP.

  2. 02

    Verify extracted marker data

Review the imported numbers against your original PDFs. Automated extraction can misinterpret units or miss specific markers, so manual verification ensures your baseline reflects reality.

  3. 03

    Connect continuous wearable data

Navigate to the connected apps menu and link your wearable account. This integrates resting heart rate and sleep duration, grounding the static blood data with daily physiological context.

  4. 04

    Set your primary health objective

Select a specific goal within the platform, such as cardiovascular fitness or metabolic health. This dictates which biomarkers the algorithm prioritizes when suggesting lifestyle adjustments.

  5. 05

    Export data for your Protocol

Download the aggregated CSV of your biomarkers. You will use this structured file alongside a local LLM or research tool to draft your personalized Protocol, or share it directly with your practitioner for clinical review.

Honest note

InsideTracker generates automated supplement and nutrition recommendations based on generic algorithmic thresholds. These suggestions lack clinical context and should never override a physician's guidance, especially regarding critical markers like LDL cholesterol or liver enzymes.
