Set up Harvey to review a health coaching contract in 10 minutes
Configure the legal AI to analyze and redline a standard health and wellness coaching agreement.

Reviewing a new client or partnership contract is a non-billable, high-stakes task. Harvey can accelerate this process by identifying key clauses, risks, and missing terms before you sign.
Before you start
- A Harvey account
- The contract as a text file (.txt) or PDF
- 10 quiet minutes
The steps
- 01
Create a new Matter
Start a new project for your contract. In Harvey, create a new "Matter" and name it descriptively—for example, "Client Coaching Agreement Review Q3". This isolates your document and the AI's analysis from other work.
- 02
Upload your contract
Upload the coaching agreement you need to review. Click "Add Files" within your new Matter and select the contract document from your local drive. Harvey will ingest and parse the full text.
- 03
Ask for a summary of key terms
Prompt the AI to identify the most important clauses. In the chat interface, use a directive like: "Summarize the key terms of the attached document, including term length, payment schedule, liability limitations, and termination conditions." This gives you a high-level view before diving into details.
- 04
Analyze the scope of services
Check for ambiguity in the scope of work. Use a prompt to have Harvey analyze the service description: "Does the 'Scope of Services' section clearly define what is included and excluded? List any ambiguous phrases." This helps avoid scope creep with clients.
- 05
Identify potential risks and missing clauses
Use Harvey to stress-test the agreement. This is a core part of the Ledger layer of analysis. Ask: "What are the primary risks for me as the practitioner in this agreement? What standard clauses are missing, such as confidentiality or intellectual property rights?"
- 06
Draft redline suggestions
Generate specific edits for any problem areas. If Harvey identified a vague payment clause, prompt it: "Draft a clearer payment clause specifying net-30 payment terms and a late fee of 1.5% per month." You can then copy this into your contract draft.
Honest note
Harvey is trained on general legal documents, not specifically on health or wellness coaching agreements. It may not recognize nuances specific to the practitioner-client relationship or HIPAA compliance, so its output must be reviewed by a human, ideally qualified legal counsel.
