Set up ChatCut for Weekly Health Reviews in 8 minutes

This guide configures ChatCut to automatically edit a rambling voice memo into a concise, transcribed weekly health log.

8 minutes start to finish
ChatCut setup — Set up ChatCut for Weekly Health Reviews in 8 minutes

You record a weekly check-in to track symptoms, workout progress, or subjective feelings, but the raw file is long and full of pauses. Instead of manually editing, this setup uses ChatCut to create a concise, watchable summary with a full transcript, turning raw data into a clean record.

Before you start

  • A ChatCut account (browser or ChatGPT Plus)
  • A 5-10 minute audio or video health journal file
  • 8 quiet minutes

The steps

  1. 01

    Upload Your Raw File

Start a new project in ChatCut. Upload your weekly health review video or audio file directly from your phone or computer—this can be a simple voice memo about sleep, nutrition, and energy levels.

  2. 02

    Give Your One-Prompt Instruction

In the prompt box, tell the AI its job. Use a clear, direct instruction like: "Cut this to a tight summary. Remove all filler words, long pauses, and repeated sentences. Keep only the clearest take of each point."

  3. 03

    Generate the First Cut

Run the tool. ChatCut will transcribe your audio, analyze the content against your prompt, and generate a new, shorter clip by removing the sections you specified.

  4. 04

    Review and Edit the Transcript

Instead of watching the video, review the generated transcript. This is the fastest way to check the AI's edits and correct any transcription errors for key terms (e.g., supplement names, symptoms), creating a clean 'Ledger' of your week.

  5. 05

    Export Your Log

Export the final video, the audio-only track, or just the cleaned text transcript. You now have a concise, searchable record of your weekly state that you can easily review over time.

Honest note

ChatCut is an editor, not a clinician. It excels at cleaning up verbal notes but it does not understand context—it might cut a subtle but clinically important hesitation. Always review the final edit, and use this as a tool for personal records, not for diagnosis.
