What WHOOP actually gives you
WHOOP provides a continuous stream of physiological data. From these raw inputs, the app calculates proprietary metrics such as Recovery Score, Strain Score, and Sleep Performance. You can view daily, weekly, and monthly trends directly within the WHOOP application. While the app offers summaries and coaching tips, a richer understanding often requires looking at the raw or near-raw data points. WHOOP allows you to export your data in CSV format, which typically includes detailed daily summaries of these key metrics. This export facility is crucial for bringing your data into external tools. Certain visualisations or granular real-time stream data remain within the app interface, but the daily aggregates—the most relevant for trend analysis—are available for download.
